The kitchen was finished today.  We are amazed and pleased, it was on-time and on-budget.  From start to finish with you was one month – amazing faster than refinancing the house.

Just wanted to let you know that the kitchen counters, the sink, the stove/oven, and the faucet have all been installed and the kitchen looks absolutely beautiful.  I keep wiping and wiping and wiping the countertops, because I can’t believe how smooth and attractive they look after that disgusting tile we had for so long.  The colors are PERFECT with the curtains, the floor, and the cabinets.  I really want to thank you for your good taste and advice.  

 At some point, we’d like to remodel our bathroom on the main floor — it, too, is really beyond gross — and if we use Kitchen Plus, I will ask for you!

Dear Kitchen Plus,

I wanted to let you know how very pleased I am with your work. Relying on her experience and knowledge of materials, Susanne brought me my kitchen vision within budget. Her collaboration with Tom VanDeen, engineer, was impressive. They explored all potential road block, researching any questions and contacting me with answers the same day. Tom spent 3 ½ hours patiently measuring and analyzing my unique kitchen structures.

Our project manager, Tom Huffman, always listened and asked the pertinent questions every day I knew what to expect and understood the answers to my questions. I have complete confidence in his skill and careful attention to detail.

I was comfortable with every person who came to my home. Your team is truly exceptional and I want them to know how much we appreciated them all. Thank you. I will always recommend Kitchen Plus.

My only disappointment, is the size of the “file” drawers in the desk. They are not deep enough for hanging files! Strange.

I would like to order a spare set of cupboard doors for below the sink. I assume these will be the first to show wear and would be simple to replace in a few years. Please let me know the cost. Thanks again to everyone. I can see why the “plus” in Kitchen Plus.

Dear Rick,

I have had the pleasure of having Kitchen Plus do my kitchen
and bathroom remodels.  It has been about two months since it has
been totally done and I am enjoying it very much and basically have to pinch myself
every time I walk into my kitchen and bathrooms.  I had been saving my
money for about ten years to have this done so I was very nervous and
apprehensive about it being done just the way I wanted it, and your Kitchen
Plus team came through big time!  My designer was David Passeau and he was
a delight to work with.  He was very focused on my needs and wants and I
didn’t give him a huge budget but he made it happen.  I told him that I
was afraid that I might make a mistake and he told me that he would not let me
make a mistake and he didn’t!  He was very patient with me when I was
making my choices and gave me confidence and reassurance all along the way when
picking out the various materials.  A couple things that I picked out I
decided I didn’t like when it got to my home and David helped me get exactly
what I wanted.  For instance I decided that the bathroom floor I had
previously picked out would not work out and he told me to get down to the
showroom and look at Villa Stone flooring and it was beautiful and it looks so
nice!  David was such a joy to work with and I consider him a
friend.  He has expressed interest in coming over to see the finished
product which is very flattering considering how busy he is.  He is such
an asset to your company.

I also worked with Amy Erickson a little bit and she is so
nice and helpful.  She helped me with scheduling which wasn’t easy since I
work weird hours and that didn’t faze her.    She also came over
to my place to help with paint colors which was very nice to have her
insight.  Amy also assisted me in picking out the Villa Stone since David
had to leave for a meeting and together we picked out something that I really
love.  She is such a pleasant person with a great sense of style.  She
and David always made me laugh when they got together.

Mark Cannaday was my engineer and he made me feel very
comfortable with the design and I could tell he had a strong attention to
detail from the start.  He asked all the right questions and the results
were fabulous.  I only saw him one day but communicated with him via
e-mail and he always answered my questions quickly and accurately.
He applied gentle pressure when I didn’t buy my appliances on time
because of my work schedule but he was just trying to keep my project on time
and I appreciated that.  He was very personable and great to work with.

Omar Halaweh was my installer and project manager and I am
glad he was!  Omar was very respectful of my belongings and my home and
prepped the areas where he was working so nothing got dusty or dirty.  His
work was top notch and I couldn’t believe how fast he got things done and
everything was perfect.  The cabinets came out so beautiful and had no
flaws at all.  I got the natural cherry wood and I still can’t believe how
beautiful they look and Omar kept me informed on all progress being made and
always called me with any question or concerns.  Because of the way he
managed all the people that came into my home I did not feel stressed at all; I
always had confidence that Omar would handle every situation with ease and with
my interests as a priority.  He was very professional in the handling of
my project and he was just so fun to work with.  He has a great
personality and good people skills and made my remodeling project a lot of fun.
He made sure everything was done exactly the way I wanted it from the knobs on
the drawers to all the accessories in the bathrooms.  I changed my mind on
a couple of things and he just kept saying he wanted to make me happy and that
he would take care of everything.   There was a small problem with
the shower and Omar figured out what to do to fix it a day after I called him
and it turned out just perfect.  I really felt like Omar cared about how
things turned out and was going to do whatever it took to make me happy.
I really appreciated the way he managed my project and his quality of
work.

I would highly recommend your company to anyone who is
considering remodeling.  You have a great team and my kitchen and
bathrooms turned out just the way I wanted them to.  I have waited a long
time to do this and it was definitely worth the wait.  Thank you so much
to Kitchen Plus!

Dear Rick & Daleen,

It has been seven months since you completed our kitchen remodel “on time and on budget”. We have taken this time to grow into our new environment to see just how long the newness would last and if it all continued to meet our expectations. Well it has and we thank you for your professionalism, understanding, patience and outstanding workmanship to have completed our project exceeding our expectations. There isn’t a day that goes by without our being completely thrilled with the results. Never have we said “what if we had done this or that”. We believe such results are the result of three separate elements.

First is homework. Karen, Vic and our daughter Nancy (college degree in interior design), spent many hours designing, redesigning, physically placing dishes, pots and pans, etc on the floor, on tables, etc. to come up with our idea for the kitchen. We then called upon you (Rick & Daleen) to put the design on paper. After all you did say, “if you can dream it we can build it”. Using our combined imaginations to visualize removing some walls, positioning an island, placing cabinets, upgrading lighting and rearranging the rest we came up with the plan. Then we discussed and hashed out many changes arriving with our final plan. The results speak for themselves. Also we had no “contractor changes” to our plans during the construction process.

Second is the workmanship. All of our cabinets, countertops, windows and subcontractor work were completed to perfection.

Third is the project manager. Warren Johnson is a perfectionist in his work (from demolition to the final installation). It was his feeling that we deserved a perfect product and he delivered it. He stayed in constant contact with us and was always open to any concerns we may have had.

Thank you for a very well done job. We highly recommend Kitchen Plus to anyone seeking a perfect Kitchen remodel.

I want to thank-you for a job well done on time and on budget. When I told my friends I was remodeling my home and I had hired a contractor that promised to be on time and on budget, they thought it was a joke. No contractor is ever on time, much less on budget. That had also been my experience with previous contractors, but Kitchen Plus exceeded my expectations. That was no small task as I had a completely new kitchen, new bathroom, exterior entryway and a raised ceiling in the living room.

I enjoyed working with David Passeau and Natalie Siemion in designing the project and they absolutely nailed the style I was trying to achieve. Brad Johnson did a remarkable job in engineering the raised ceiling. Other contractors I had talked to simply said it couldn’t be done, but Brad spent considerable time figuring out a way to make it work. Omar’s work was fantastic and his attention to detail was exceptional. The house was clean at the end of the work day and it was such a good experience, I’ve recommended you to two other friends.

I am writing to commend you on having on your staff a decent, hard-working, and quality craftsman in Warren Johnson. He installed my kitchen Thursday, August 4 through August 10.

His workmanship was way above par; he worked quickly and neatly; and guided me through the many small decisions I hadn’t even thought about (such as a door handle placement, which ways the doors should open, final decisions about the shape of the granite overhang, and many others.)

However, his biggest asset is that he is a fine human being. I had a tragedy on Friday morning—my beloved cat got hit by a car in front of my house and died. Warren not only allowed me a shoulder to cry on, he took charge and helped me find a towel and box for my boy, and dug a deep spot in my yard where we buried Tai. I was a wreck and don’t know what I would have done without his understanding, help, and compassion.

It is Friday (5/6) and I am so enjoying my new bathroom which was finished by KP yesterday. Thank you so much for helping me create my new spa. Do you ever come and see the finished product?

I want to especially thank my project manager, Michael Herkert who managed the condo restrictions the parking issues-all with professionalism and “grace”. This is not an easy building to comply with and work in. His easy manner made my discomfort much easier and his work was perfection.  Also, cudos to Pasqual and Barry for their tile laying expertise and the final product-it is beautiful.  The electrician finished up the trim today so everything works.

My shower door comes in next week and I will pick out a mirror – then my spa will be complete.

Since this is my second project with you, my neighbors will probably be contacting you after I throw a “bathroom party”.

We recently completed a kitchen remodel with your company, and we’re writing to commend your staff for their excellent work. Over the course of the project, we’ve spoken to quite a few people, and without exception they have been friendly, helpful, and professional. It has been a pleasure working with Kitchen Plus and your subcontractors.

A few individuals have done so much for us we feel we should single them out. David Passeau was our designer. He did an outstanding job helping us get to the right design. He was patient. He had good ideas, but never pushed them on us. He helped us get through areas where we weren’t in complete agreement. In the end, we had a kitchen design that was ours and yet was better than we could have done on our own. We don’t know what more one could ask of a designer.

Gary Atkins was our engineer. The job he did can best be summed up by pointing out that the cabinets, fittings, and services all fit perfectly the first time and were just what we expected, including the window box and toe-kick drawers. The times we talked to him, he was very helpful. We always felt that our project was in good hands with Gary, and that turned out to be the case.

James Young was our installer. We didn’t know James before, but we specifically requested him based on a recommendation from a friend. Our friend was right. James’s meticulous craftsmanship exceeded even our expectations, and we’re pretty picky. He was everything you would want in a person working in your home. He came on time, had a detailed schedule and followed it, kept us well informed, took our input graciously, made good suggestions of his own, and was just generally a delightful person to work with. We always felt that he was taking as much care on our project as if it had been in his own home. You should also know that he was a good representative for your company. From several conversations we had, it was clear that he takes pride in the quality work of your whole team.

Employees like James are gold. We’re sure you recognize that.

We’re sure it’s clear by now how delighted we are with our kitchen and with our experience with Kitchen Plus. We both thank you and your whole team.

Dear Dan

We wanted to let you know how happy we are with our new kitchen.  It is beyond the kitchen of my dreams.  Since we first met you at the Home Show in October and thru the entire design process, we were so pleased with how you were able to take our ideas and sometimes vague concepts and incorporate them into the design.  We especially love the wine rack.  It is exactly as I pictured in my mind.  As the project moved into the engineering phase, I still can’t believe Mark got every little detail exactly perfect the first time.  I know that is how it is supposed to be, but it seems that we rarely hear about things actually happening that way.

When Michael was assigned to install our cabinets, we hit the jackpot.  He is truly a skilled craftsman. First, I couldn’t believe how much he could get done in a day.  Every day I came home from work I was just stunned by the progress.  Like most 25 year old houses, most of the kitchen was neither square nor plumb, but you would never know that by looking at our new cabinets.  They are just beautiful.  I really appreciated his attention to detail.  Each day he would look ahead to the next part of the project and confirm all the little details with me.  He never considered any snafu to be a problem, but just a situation needing a solution.  And he always found that solution.   It seemed that there was nothing that was too much work if it meant getting the job done right and making the customer happy.

After hearing the horror stories of people being without their kitchen for weeks to months, I still can hardly believe you gave us a new kitchen in 5 days time.  I cannot say enough about how great our experience was through every step of the process.  In fact, anyone who stands still for more than 10 seconds has to hear about it.

Please forward our comments to Mark and Michael as well as their superiors.  It is important to us that the administrators at Kitchen Plus know what a great team we had and how happy we are with our kitchen.

Please forgive our delay in writing this letter of commendation. We want to express our sincere thanks to Kitchen Plus for the outstanding job that was done on our complete kitchen remodel in October.

We especially want to thank Dan Scott, he was the best to work with. He had great practical ideas in redesigning the room to make the most of our kitchen space. We had total confidence in him and trusted him completely in every aspect of planning and design and helping to incorporate our own ideas with his better ideas! He was so good at helping us pick everything out and we were so very impressed and appreciative that he took time on his day off to meet us at the Bath store to pick out the best kitchen sink ever, then he took us to Albert Lee Appliance to help us pick out the best appliances that would practically suit our needs without needless overspending. He took care of absolutely every detail from start to finish. In this economy, it was a huge decision for us to go forward with the kitchen remodel and definitely the biggest financial investment we have made to date in our home and Dan really helped us. We feel so good about going ahead with the project and are blown away by how beautiful it turned out. We are giving Dan’s cards out whenever we hear someone talk about doing any remodeling in their kitchen.

We also have to commend Michael Herker for his outstanding job as our project manager. We really didn’t know what to expect during the 3 ½ weeks of major construction going on inside our house but instead of the chaos we imagined he made it so totally stress free and easy. In fact, he made it fun and exciting for us showing us every day what he did and telling us what was going to happen next. His work ethic was impeccable. For us, attitude is the most important thing and he is a diligent, hard worker who takes his responsibilities very seriously while obviously enjoying himself. He was very sweet to my 92 year old mom who loved having him around every day while we were at work! He was conscientious and respectful of our home, all his tools were so organized and workspace cleaned up before he left. But we were most impressed by his attitude that nothing was ever a problem. The first time an issue came up he said, “I’m not worried, so don’t you be worried, nothing is a problem there’s always a solution.” We had every confidence in him and gave him free reign to just handle whatever came up because he told us he didn’t just want to do what would be easy he wanted to do what was best for our home. That meant everything to us. Your company is blessed to have such a wonderful young man of integrity and character on your staff.

I’m writing you both via Rick’s e-mail address because I don’t have an address for you, Dalene. Regardless, I just want to tell you how incredibly impressed David and I have been with EVERY aspect of your operation: Your showroom, your staff, your customer service, your welcoming approach and superb professionalism.

Although you haven’t even started the on-site work, and although this is an absolutely HUGE investment (by our standards), we feel so relaxed and confident being in the highly capable hands of you and your staff. Every time we walk through those showroom doors, or call your store, we are made to feel warmly welcome, and we’re already feeling like one of the “family.” That is high praise, indeed!

I suspect the kind of good will you generate (regardless of the situation at hand) no doubt comes back to you tenfold. For example, my friend Joan (who accompanied me today) had never been in your store or had any dealings with your staff before; however, after hearing my praise ever since we first got involved with K-Plus, she was already impressed. Having come to the showroom with me today merely reinforced her impression. By the time we left today, we’d interacted with at least 5 of your staff during our visit, and every single person went out of his/her way to make sure we had all the assistance we needed. It’s just incredible! I have no doubt that if Joan and her husband decide to do some upgrading of their condo in Bellevue, you will be the first place they turn. Plus, I have no doubt that when they hear that any of their friends/acquaintances are ready to upgrade their homes, she, too, will send them your way.

I also want to heap huge kudos on Dave P, as he bends over backwards for us as well, and he has been a joy to work with. As you probably already have figured out, I’m a person who requires LOTS of data, needs to “chew” on ideas before settling in, and asks countless questions in order to get a handle on a project. That can be very annoying to people who are all about moving forward and getting to the finish line, but that’s just my process. Regardless, I never get a sense of impatience from any of your staff – in fact, quite the opposite. Furthermore, I’ve been incredibly impressed by Dave’s obvious design expertise. He’s been a godsend to David and me, neither of whom have one iota of creative vision!

It has not escaped my notice that when we visit your showroom, if/when you’re in the building, you make a point of stopping by to say hi and offer your personal service – always with grace and openness. We’ve never had that experience with owners of a company who were not working with us directly from the start. KUDOS to you!

Dear Daleen,

It has been 4 months living with our new family room, living room, and kitchen remodel, and we wanted to share with you how much we appreciate the beautiful work performed by your installers. I was going to say “4 months living with our new kitchen”, but your company did so much more than our kitchen remodel.

I have to really emphasize the PLUS in your name.

We searched almost 3 years for a contractor we felt comfortable with and we are so hapy we chose Kitchen Plus. From the initial contact with you and Dan Scott at the Bellevue Home Show, we had a good feeling that your company was honest, talented, hard working, and very competitive.

the reason I say you need to emphasize the PLUS in your name is that the scope of our work called for much more than a new kitchen. We needed to remove 7 linear feet of our load-bearing and shear-wall, extensive electrical lighting, along with removing a large exterior window to make a space for a large flat-screen TV.

Most kitchen contractors would not be able to tackle a job like this and would have to defer to a general contractor for the incremental work. this is what we tried to avoid, because the extra cost in dealing with a general. Kitchen Plus is large enough to act in a general contractor capacity, but small enough to make you feel like you are dealing with a kitchen contractor.

I want to especially thank your Project Manager, Brad Johnson, Project Manager, James Young, along with Designer Dan Scott. They all worked together to make you theme “On time, and on budger” a reality. Even when there were issues that came up, there was always a spirit of “doing the right thing”, and not taking advantage of the extra’s that constantly come up in a project such as this. Again, honesty and integrity, which is rare today.

We hope to remodel our master bathroom in the future, and we look forward to working agian with Dan, Brad, and James. theay are the best, and so is Kitchen PLUS!!!

We wanted to take the time to thank and compliment you on your work. It has been a couple months since you finished our project and it really transformed how we use and appreciate our home.

In each step of our project from the initial planning to finalizing the plans and, of course, the actual remodel, the entire KP team was professional, friendly, and easy to work with, but perhaps most importantly, they took real pride and ownership in their work.

While we were planning our poject, we heard countless horror stories from friends and colleagues about projects that went way beyond schedule or the allocated budget. We also heard many, “we’ll believe it when we see it” comments when we explained the KP promise- “on time, on budget.” We are happy to report that , as promised, KP stayed right on budget and finished our project a week before promised- impressive to say the least.

We would also like to personally mention and thank our poject manager, Ray Allen, and designer, Josh Brookshier. My wife and I are both very detail orineted and Josh took the time to ensure every detail of our kitchen project was planned and covered in our contract. There were several late night meetings and, even in our most demanding moments, Josh was never anything but a pleasure to work with.

Once we had our poject planned, my wife and I were a bit worried about having a team of people in our house every day. Ray set us immediately at ease. He was a pleasure to work with, left our house tidy every day , and was mindful of the security of our house. He made the poject as easy and unimposing as we could have hoped for. His attention to detail and workmanship were impressive. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that our poject lived up to and exceeded our highest expectations.
